Michael's dollar bin stamp and coffee holder turned into bookmarks

I made a slew of these bookmarks using coffee sleeves. I love to recycle and use the unexpected in my papercrafting. I found the bird cage stamp in the dollar bins at Michaels. I love those dollar bins! And I used my Big Shot and Stampin up tag die to cut out the tag. I attached 2 tags together for added thickness. So, next time your at local coffee shop check out the sleeves!

A gift to myself

The first room on my retired to do list is the living room. I purchased the rug last fall and after many trips back and forth to Ethan Allen trying to match a fabric I decided on this one. I love it, it's the Hyde sofa in camel velvet and I love how luxurious it looks and feels and I think it goes great with the rug.
The room was painted BM 1515 Natural after numerous paint chips and splothes on the wall. It was more difficult to pick out the paint color than the rug or couch!
Next project in the room will be drapery and the completion of my side of the road sideboard. More pics soon!

Happy Valentines Day card

This is the card I'll be giving to my husband. I was hoping to make more generic ones to send out but didn't get to it.
This was another card from a card class, I just added the smaller heart on the moon, changed the embossing on the red and added the sentiment.
Hope it inspires you to make a card for your loved one!

Hydrangea card-before and after

I often take card classes from stampin up demonstrators and this was one of the cards we made. I changed things up a little, adding chalking to color the flower and leaves and did a little pouncing on the white circle so it wouldn't be so bright. I love the french script background. I think it's a versatile card that can be used for many occasions.
The hydrangea is fussy cut and layered with a dimensional to make it pop.

Which do you prefer the before or after?

Tempting Tuesday

The chair on the right is this weeks project that I'm going to work on. These chairs have been sitting in the garage since I found them on the side of the road. I'm seeing a monogram or maybe a bird from www.thegraphicsfairy.com on it. Stay tuned!
